[1.1.0] Reichan's Traditional LA+EH Ranger // Armor // 3 Auras
This build has been reworked for 1.1.0 version. It's a traditional LA build utilizing 3 auras and high armor.It may be slower than full-out dps build but it was designed for my solo play and therefore puts emphasis on survival.

Gear you need: Hat: Alpha Howl (to support 3 auras) Armor: High evasion armor, look for HP, resists. Gloves: Thunderfist or good rare gloves with attack speed, HP, resists, damage Boots: Any with HP, resists, movement Belt: Either HP or rustic with HP resists elemental dmg Jewellery: Elemental damage, HP, resists Bow: Lioneyes if fine or a really good rare with high pdps, attack speed My gear which isn't very good since I play mostly self-found. It needs lots of upgrades

My current question is which of the clusters below would be a better idea: North cluster: ![]() Cost - 7 points Gives +8% +16 % to each of the elemental damage types and 5% chance to freeze/shock/ignite South cluster: ![]() Cost - 7 points Gives +12% +6% +6% +6% +18% physical damage / +4% +4% +4% life and some stun duration.

I have conducted a lenghty debate with myself over the configuration of the nerfed (balanced) Cast When Damage Taken. I proposed many solutions, most of them rejected. Molten Shell - now useless, Warlord's Mark - useless, Blind - useless, Enduring Cry - contradicts skellies/zombies therefore useless, Animate Guardian weapon - too dangerous, Enfeeble - useless. Therefore I decided to run the CWDT (maximum lvl 3) with some more skellies, Temporal Chains and Increased duration. ======= UPDATE 3.1 : Tree optimized in terms of balance for lvl 90 (Thanks to Garryl1234 for saving 1 extra point!) **Still trying to figure out a good 4th gem for Cast on Damage, preferably green. Animate Weapon and Guardian are REALLY fun but...bad, bad idea. Don't use them. Gems used: ***6L=== ***5L=== ***3 Auras on Alpha Howl ***Cast on Damage (can't decide 4th) ***A man's best friends - the skellys! ======= UPDATE 2: I updated some gems in gear. "Cast on Damage Taken" + Molten Shell + Temporal Chains + [something I haven't decided yet] This combination works pretty well. ======= UPDATE: I have tested this build, playing it right now and it works very well. I actually have more life and armour than I had before the release. Now I'm trying to figure out how to configure "Cast on Damage Taken" - If you have any ideas - feel free to post them :) ================ I've been trying to work out a new tree after the 1.0 release and this is what I came up with. It's not a final build, it hasn't been tested, it's just an idea made this evening over beer and cigarettes - I'm looking for some opinions from other people out here. After the auras change I decided to skip BM node, I don't have the old Kaom's and therefore I don't think I can afford to reserve life for auras. Moreover it would require many -mana reserve nodes, which I think I can utilize for damage / life or etc. Therefore the main skills - LA and EH go with BM gems. I also decided to stick with old good Iron Reflexes, I don't trust evasion. I prefer to get hit less instead of risking getting hit less often but with deadly result (remember no old Kaom's, just like many others I suppose). I still can't clarify whether the "elemental damage with weapons" nodes apply to skill gems or to the elemental damage that is "included" in the weapon mods (e.g Lioneye's has only physical). I plan to use 2 auras with reduced mana gem on mana pool (probably hatred and grace). I still need info on how many mana reduction nodes are needed to run 3 auras. I'm leaving some points free for adjustments. Probably for +life and +wed. Anyway, here's the idea, please post any feedback, suggestions, criticize all you want - it's all for the greater good. Feel free to say I have a bad hairstyle or smelly feet, just leave my tomatoe soup in peace. Hi there,
I saw you tree in which you take projectile dmg nodes. I have a similar build, you can check it on my signature. hi,
some ideas : - you needa bit more life. As life>evasion you can drop some evasion nodes and get more life nodes. - you grabbed some +12 all resists nodes which is good. It makes gearing easier. - i dont know how you are planning to generate damage as you take only physical nodes which are not enough. I mean you dont have any wed nodes so it wont increase your dps that much. As it is, in my opinion you wont deal that much damage. - about auras there are node at ranger starter (charisma) which will allow you to cast 2 auras on mana. cheers, sara |

OK I made some small modifications taking vitto's ideas under advisement. Took 6 WED nodes and some more life, also mana reduction node to run auras on Alpha Howl. At lvl 85 I have 105 points at my disposal, therefore this tree is for lv85. Next nodes can be added as level progrsses.
As for the physical damage - I'm using Lioneye's which is purely physical and both LA and Hatred aura deal percentage of physical damage. Therefore the resulting elemental damage increases along with the physical damage, because they are directly proportional. Master fletcher would be a really close damage node to take. You might need more int for certain gems? Not sure. Good build overall, similar to one of mine but i took phase acrobats/ondars.
