This boss is ridiculous.When he recast the lightning trap,the trap activates and the whole room is full of lightning balls.
We need fix for cd on trap, no activation if you dont step ore some kindof lightning aoe or lightning strike when u go in melee with him,because if you melee him he just drop 3 trap under you and you are dead
He seems overtuned at the moment. And I know people said the same thing about Perpetus when Act 3 first came out; but this is getting ridiculous. In cruel with 76% lightning resist, a single trap that hit me would deal 400-1200 damage. A simple strategy of "lol don't get hit by traps then duh!" is hard as ranged, as he spams multitrap lightning trap multiple times per second, and I'd say next to impossible as melee.

It also has a surprisingly high amount of health, along with pretty much everything in the Sceptre of God, much different to Perpetus who I'd often kill before he could throw a single trap even as melee.

It's frightening to think of what ridiculously powerful uniques will be in Act 4, based off of this trend.
God damn i can just agree... I'm just alive cause i practiced my logout-skills... Almost impossible to beat as melee.

Yeah... definite nerf needed on Caliga. Absurdly OP. Needs either a big damage nerf or a big cast rate nerf for the traps.

I only killed it because it was normal and I could just zerg it down by dying 50 times with no penalty.

Verdict
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Well he's pretty overtuned. I just gave up the third time I instant died, but he did spawn with three yellow packs nearby when I tried, so that didn't help matters.

Skipped him, got to the miniboss spinethrower... two yellow packs at him and one of which was +accuracy+critstats+regenaura

I'm done for the night... or the week.

Edit: Scrotie I'm melee so definitely notr justice here. Never had trouble with kole as melee either.

Yeah, the guy is a little crazy at the moment. I was playing on normal difficulty as a dodge-tank Ranger w/ my necromancer friend, and lets just say that was an excellent lesson in why minions are bastards >.>
I was able to avoid his traps as well as anyone could, but the bloody zombies kept shambling into him triggering one trap which triggered all of them, the 30% spell evasion on phase shift isn't strong enough to cheese that xD. Took 17 total deaths to kill this guy and he literally didn't drop anything for our troubles -_-.
Its a fun fight idea, but that guy is horrifically strong at the moment and could probably use some heavy damage reworks.

I lol'ed.

Though Caliga is rather overtuned. I mean just from a perspective of owning lightning traps. My lightning Traps don't do that much damage on normal even with a +2 to gems, and righteous fire going. The damage this mob pumps out is completely irrational and gives a rather bad impression of traps as a result.


Caliga is also buggy. Sometimes the traps just -explode- when he tosses down a new set. I know he has sunblast, but that's not how sunblast works. otherwise I'd be spamming multiple projectile lightning traps all day every day.

Yep elemental damage is a real pain on this game.

And they keep introducing items like "Lightning coil". ( Yes yes it's a cool unique but.. )

We need something that convert elemental damage taken to phys dmg, or just a similar lightning Rise of the pheonix shield with +8% lightning res. With at least 50% chance for Shock immunity.
