low lvl (28) duelling PVP basic guide Path of Exile

I enjoy the lvl 28 PVP a lot and recently noticed increased numbers of new players joining the arena.
Have been called "hacker" or "cash shop items user" (very true) but also received many questions hence the very basic guide here.

PVP - Low Level Duelling - lvl 28
To make a competitive character follow the simple steps:

1. Complete all quests and receive all rewards in normal difficulty.
2. After killing Dominus - last boss of last quest in Act3, do not proceed to Cruel difficulty - if you do - you will not be able to join low lvl PVP any more.
3. After completing all quests, reach lvl 28. If you accidentally reach lvl 29 you will not be able to join low lvl PVP any more. If you having difficulties completing the quests in Act3 being lvl 26/27 just ask for help or join a group.
4. Plan your passive skill tree - 34 skill points total.
5. Find your weapons and armours with 28 lvl requirement. The best area to find such items is The Rocky Climb and The Prison in the Cruel difficulty - areas are lvl 36 so you will need a higher level character to do so. Alternatively you can find your gear on trade chat / trade forum - most good gear of this lvl will cost about 1 Alchemy Orb = 1 Fusing = 1 Scouring.

5a. Don't forget about unique items - they can be useful as well.

6. Plan which skill-gems you will use and level them all up as high as possible (not exceeding lvl requirement of 28)
7. Say "hello" when you join a match.
8. Cash shop particle effects DO NOT give advantage in fight but they are a nice thing to have as they scare an opponent easy - makes them believe you are a veteran.

its rather hard to rely on rare items in lv28 pvp, facebreaker has ridiculously high damage even with sword like that im still doing much less dmg

(1) can't see how doing all quests in Normal won't level you past 28.
I already level past 28 well before the Gravicius fight, and that's if I play the game "race mode" instead of killing all mobs and doing side-quests.
unless you meant "not solo". then it's understandable.

(2) PvP - especially low level PvP - is all about gear.
get the best gear you possibly can - and you'll win.
nothing more to it.

I pretty much one-shot level 20-21 guys with a level 15 Ranger, just because I had a Goddess Bound sword, while they had average 20-21 gear.
tactics and skill will maybe get you a round win or two. gear wins you a match.
and depending on how good your gear is, you can forget about tactics altogether.
sad, but painfully true.

Heres one of my pvp characters gear:

4,780 Infernal Blow dps. I think with 100% perfect gear on everything you could break 6k.
I swap the helm depending on their build.

Im currently working on building an elemental bow Templar. Need to buy Wake of Destruction though which is gonna set me back quite a bit.

A lot of low level pvp involves either rushing or slow pushing with traps/curses.

that would be equal to 2-3k facebreaker dps(which is overkill already), i think Godess Scorned would do very well with multistrike flicker(1 attack would be enough to finish any1)

why not 6 link?

There isn't 6L worth of gems that I actually want to use on my main attack haha. I do want to try and color it as RRRG though so I can try Multistrike. I dont even really need the Added Cold tbh.
