Im SO sick of Desync

being inflated beyond the truth.

I saw some people whining about Desync again in Game today.

So I said "fine, ill use Flicker Strike - Faster Attacks - Multi Strike - Melee Splash - Mana Leech"



To see just how devastating the Desync is (ps I have 7 Frenzy Charges, Blood Rage and The Blood Dance) so maintaining charges is no problem).

Well. This is how it went: Enter Lunaris 3, see mob, Engage Blood Rage, press Left Mouse Button... arrive at Piety Portal, walk back and collect loot.

I thought "ok maybe I was lucky, lets try something else"

So I swapped Flicker for Cyclone.
Essentially the same thing happened.

The only difference I noticed was:

Flicker Strike: I had to equip a Mana Flask and it was annoying going back for loot.
Cyclone: Is OP and with it I can not die. Need a Mana Flask against Piety.

So this must mean my Internet is AMAZING right?

Well it's shit. It's in Australia on Copper. So even though its "ADSL2" the exchange is so crowded that sometimes I think someone has replaced my Modem with a 56k Dial Up as a Prank.

So what I think is happening:
A lot of people are playing the Game at settings beyond their systems capability.
A lot more people should stop Downloading Porn while playing PoE

While I did notice a little hiccup here or there, it was usually when I was snaking around pillars and corners at Mach 5. At no point did I need to /oos

I also tried Reave and Double Strike with the same configuration while running around corners and through pillars. Results did not change.

But what about all those people who really suffer from it?
Youtube videos of terrible rubberbanding?

And i can provide my experience.
There are so many factors that cause desync (read explanation threads if you haven't already).
I turned all drop-down menu to off (shadows\AA\etc), switched to 800*600 window, manually set textures to 5 in ini-file; also have wired internet and turned down all other (than PoE and windows' ) processes.

And you know what? THERE IS DESYNC -_-
Desync sometimes even happens from "double strike" and other "nonstandart-desync-summon" skills
So quit being such "genius" and provide some constructive and useful ideas\information to community and DEVs

Since its clearly a light hearted poke at the people blaming all of life's woes on Desync.

Also if you actually read the post, I did say I had a bit of Desync and tried Reave and Double Strike.

We call it "Slutter" around here.

I use Cyclone Multistrike.
did a Maelstrom of Chaos yesterday.
died twice in Merv room, each time corpse in a location entirely different than what I saw on screen.
mobs were blue with a speed modifier. too much for my system and connection to handle.
oh and I'm half-way between two servers: EU and Singapore. play on EU.
can't wait to get back home and play on AUS server.
