The Duelest... Best Class of Them all?

Hello everyone and I just want to know if you think the duelest is the best class to play with. I was looking over it on the website because I still have not been invited to beta :( ( I would love to do a let's play for this as well) But I would like people who have played the game to give thoughts and comments on if this class is one of the best overall. Thx

I haven't played PoE yet but I know there is balance between classes in game.

FSG is now doing the duelist playthrough, he recently just finished the wizard, he didnt completely finish? If i remember correctly, but he was 1 zone away.

The duelist don't get as much per upgrade as the other classes (templer same problem). So I would say that he is weaker than the other classes.

To make up for that he needs some seriously nice skills that only he can use.

If he's comparable to diablo 2, he would be a non-magic paladin. Great on close quarters, due to S/S-block ability, however, this lack of speed would dwarf him vs difficult ranged. I'm not asking for a teleport, but if they at least gave him a burst of speed/sprint, that might equalize him out in pvp.

I'm hoping he might get some rouge treatment.
Maybe some stealth and ambush abilities.
Either way I can't wait to try him out!
