While Frostwall is nice, it's not very reliable since some projectiles seem to penetrate the wall when they shouldn't.

" Was just about to post this myself. For those who don't want to click the link: if you use Infractem, the bow with 100% chance to Pierce, any time you hit a Frost Wall segment with an ability that procs on hit, it will proc on hit. For example, if you have Lightning Arrow and Fire one along a single Frost Wall, you can proc it 30 times, thereby hitting up to 90 enemies, with a single arrow. Obviously there aren't that many enemies nearby in practice to be that effective, but it's still got a lot of potential. Additionally, Frost Wall + Remote Mines is interesting - they all spawn with the same orientation, but if you don't move after placing the mine, detonating on top of yourself makes a lot of melee mobs unable to hit you due to the wall being in the way. |

My CI EB character utilizes this to block enemies so that they take longer to get to me. It also gives me something to shoot my Ice Spear through so I can proliferate freeze + asenath gloves + blind to slow them down even more. Lol.

Given how the new trap support gem positiones the thrown 3 traps it would be awesome for frostwall (check out the video in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s-n5WltRBA video from a recent announcement) - 3 frostwall traps in a row, when the mobs finally get over the first one they'll trigger the next ;)

In the upcoming ladder, one of the builds I'm hoping to try uses Ice Shot and Frost Wall. It'll involve shotgunning enemies with Ice Shot's AoE cone by getting up close, putting up a Frost Wall, and then shooting the wall with GMP Ice Shot. It might not work out, but it should be fun to try it.
