I heard the death scream yet im not dead

A few days ago i joined a public party map and i noticed i started to desync so i mashed all my instant pots and hoped my teammates would shield me.

The desync pushed me two rooms over and when everything started moving again (you know how the game seems to "speed" up to catch up with all the action that took place)
I saw the events of what happened to my character unfold.

I saw his HP drop instantly and instantly refilled but the most strangest part was that i heard my characters death scream.

I know how this scream sounds like because ive lost too many hc ons chars.

I thank the heavens my character made it out alive but yeah, i heard him die basically..so weird

still really thankful he didnt die.

I've experienced it too.
One of the rare situations when being out of sync "works" for your good.

Yep... client thinks you're dead, server disagrees. You win.

wow i had no idea that could happen, LOL desync working in your favour.

I strongly recommend having a lawyer next time. Most cases do not win but it seems the server felt you where a pretty good person and allowed you to continue your journey. It's not common that a player will win a case vs. the client.

You're kidding? I've killed more mobs /monsters due desync that I can count. But when it happens to them, nobody complains :)
