PoE 2 servers are restarting in: .
They should be back up in approximately .Infernal blow +? facebreaker build, need help and suggestions.
That is indeed true, however, with more currency investment, you could easily get better stats than a Bringer with a godly chest and helm. It's just a natural upgrade over the above, since Bringer forces you into using low level and no quality Melee Physical Damage and Faster Attacks. There are various inherent drawbacks in using Bringer, but it is a great budget item. I would like to term Bringer OP, but in the current ranged dominated state of PoE, you can't really change it since it is one of only few things that melee has going for it.
There's also no comparison between Bringer and Kaoms. Kaom's Heart is far superior in terms of survivability for two handed builds and certain 1h builds that can abuse Rime Gaze. Last edited by Acrosis#6154 on Aug 13, 2013, 10:21:25 AM

Getting to that level of armor has nothing to do with facebreakers, so you're saying it's broken for all builds? You can easily get a 2k armor chest piece along with a high armor head piece that, when combined with Lioneye's Remorse, will have much more armor than this with a regular melee build.
With facebreaker and BoR for dps you lose your weapon slot and your chest slot for any stats. Combined with Meginord's that means you have to make up for resists in your remaining slots (2 rings, neck, boots). You end up with very little to no IIR/IIQ and your survivability is still dependent on life leech. If you're not swinging, you're dying. They're called tradeoffs. |

" Will godly chest and helm increase my damage as much as BoR? Or will they boost my block chance by 15% (another half of average shield)? Or maybe Kaom's will do both? Or any of this? " I'm saying BoR is OP not only for facebrakers build. And when you have 10k+ or 15k+ armour, another 2 or 3 thousands gives you less EHP than 15% block chance. Yes it will because level 18 Melee Physical Damage and Faster Attacks doesn't give as much bonus as 20/20. Or maybe you need other gems in your six link. There are many variables. 15% block chance isn't everything. It's the equivalent of like a single block cluster. Arguably, Alpha's Howl gives the same bonus in terms of passive point investment.

" The 83% phy reduction is from 16k armor (63%) + 5 endurance charges (20%). It is not armor alone, I also have charges to depend on to live longer. Armor still cannot protect you from the elemental mobs/bosses and chaos mobs/bosses. Also, the drawbacks have already been mentioned. Anymore drawbacks added upon what already been mentioned, and I would want my chest armor back along with my weapon slot. lol Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Aug 13, 2013, 3:46:16 PM

Face breaker + infernal blow + perfect blackglean quiver = 100% phys conversion to fire! Think of the burn damage! {:o)

" In that case does nodes giving plus to burning damage work? (Saw somewhere that elemental damage nodes does not work with FB)... IGN: Hydralin

Elemental nodes will boost infernal blow fire damage but only burn if there is a crit chance iirc base which unarmed doesn't have. I read someone who successfully picked up those Fire damage nodes near marauder to boost the fire on the explosion part to help with reflect.
If this helps at all, if you have a Meginords and 2-3 decent phys rings by end of normal you will plow through the oontent solo to level 55 or so with Added Fire, Melee Phys, Inf Blow and Melee Splash. Without BoR you can still do 5-6k damage by Merc, and use another attack like Frenzy with Multistrike. The only thing my duelie has run into is mana issues and resists here and there. I'm now level 64 and will solo Piety and then try a couple maps. I have little chance of getting a BoR or other phys mods now so will work on shield nodes. 36% block, 20% EV, 60% reduction, more with Granite Iron Skin. Never needed to use endurance, I've switched from Warlords to Vulnerability for the 25% damage. Last edited by raziekeljr#3483 on Sep 3, 2013, 1:16:48 PM

" Thanks dude. Much appreciated! By your answer I think I will skip fire nodes and go for the (boring) life nodes and block, resistance (with shield etc) and some mana nodes. And I am aiming for a BoR :-) IGN: Hydralin
