What about mounts?

I'm agreeing with no mounts. Fast travel waypoints negate the need for that, and you want to run through the world and kill things. Those rotting mob corpses are where the loot is.

From some of the replies it doesn't sound like the maps are that big for the need of mounts.

im so glad to see that mounts are disliked. I would have been royally pissed if people wanted that!

Well, as some ppl said the game may be too "small" to have mounts.

I think there is mounts thru micro transactions in BoI, and it works pretty flawless in that game. Havent played it for awhile tho.

Still it would be cool in PoE :)

Completely useless. If you decide to skip areas because you want to rush through without killing stuff, you'll end up levels behind where you should be, hindering your killing power and xp gain. Waypoints and town portals are good enough.

Nothing good will come out of mounts.

To get mounts you should have a certain level etc.

What I meant was that there is no use for a mount that's not covered by another game mechanic. The only reason to use a mount would be to get through an area faster than normal. There are very few reasons to do this:
-You died and need to get back to that area (you can use waypoints or a pre-cast portal)
-You got disconnected a few areas away from town (instances are saved for an amount of time so you can get back after a d/c)
-You want to skip areas to farm something (too bad, farming shouldn't be that easy :p )

Other than those reasons, you're just skipping content to rush.

Well, i will make my final opinion if mounts really fits the game when i get that damn beta access :P Or IF i'll get it.
