hacked for the third time

So this is the 3rd time this has happened. Allow me to detail so we can narrow down how it's happening and can be prevented.

first time:
made account, played for a few weeks, got back heavy into League of Legends so I put PoE on hold. I come back - stash cleaned. character gear left alone (dump gear)

so I read countless other threads of this happening.
in the end I stopped saving my password, changed it to something not alike my last one and unique to my PoE account.

second time:
After the first time I played for a while longer and stopped yet again for LoL.
come back, stash gone AGAIN. wtf? so idk I decide maybe I'm just unlucky, it's happened to a lot of people maybe I just got hit twice..
changed Email pw, changed account pw.

3rd time:
discouraged from losing ALL my stuff again, I stopped playing for some time. I came back because imo it's currently the best dungeon crawler. Well I just tried to log in, today.
I get the same BS as I did every other time "your account has been accessed from a different location, your account is now locked blah blah email"
Well I log on.... COMPLETELY cleaned. EVERYTHING gone.


HOW does this happen? Clearly there is a flaw somewhere because there is NOTHING else I can do on my end and it keeps happening.

Keep this in mind, I ONLY play league of legends and poe exclusively.
I ONLY use league forums, youtube and my email. Literally. Phishing? no chance.
Malware? not at all. Clearly there is a flaw with the client or security to the database or some shit.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this keeps happening because the person owning the keylogger on your computer is like "man this guy STILL doesn't notice the keylogger on his computer, this is awesome".

On a more serious note, how are you so sure the issue isn't malware?

you played for a few weeks, thereforce you have no actually loss.

how much currency total u had ? 5 exalts? 10 exalts?

The chance to get hacked 3 times in a row "by accident" is ridiculously small.

I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you - the most important thing to remember is that our security system relies on a secure email account. The unlock code is sent out to your email address, so if the hacker doesn't have access to that then your account will be safe.

It's important to have a strong, unique password on your email account that hasn't been used on any other account or website either - as other players have mentioned it may be a case of a keylogger or something similar. If you're concerned about your email safety, it may pay to look at a provider that offers an extra layer of security such as gmail's 2-step authentication, which sends unlock codes to your mobile phone.
