Map Floors

When I first heard this suggestion I was honestly not in favor of it. However, at the time I was running lower level maps (60-63). But more recently, as I have moved up the map ladder, and have reached a point where I have enough lvl 65 maps to feel "comfortable" I have begun to realize that map floors are badly needed.

Here's why:

The current philosophy is to use chisels on maps that are 65+. The current price for chisels is 2:1 GCP. This means that one must spend 2 GCP per map + chaos or alchs and scouring orbs in order to get the chance to keep progressing. Without the extra added quantity which comes from those chisels, it is almost impossible to "stay afloat".

The amount of currency that is spent on maps is outrageous. I am lvl78 and currently am broke. Every single bit of everything I get goes towards trying to keep getting high level maps. If for instance I run a lvl65 map which I just alched and ran, odds are, I won't get a 65+ map from it.

I do not have currency to buy items. I do not have currency to craft items. I cannot do anything but buy chisels and alch+scour maps until the correct mods are obtained.

For example: I recently spent 2 GCP on Chisels + 2 GCP on scouring orbs (10) + 10 alchemy orbs in order to obtain the correct mods on a lvl67 Mine map. Since this is an underground map, the mods that I needed are 1) Maze 2) Magic/Rare or Pack size.

I managed to get Maze + 30% Rare. I run with about 75% IIQ + 40% from the map. This map took 90 min to run (enfeeble curse) and what did I obtain from my hard earned currency? A lvl60, 61, 62 map and a Chisel. Thats it. So in other words, I obtained a chisel. Probably 500+ items dropped in this map, if not more, and I got nothing.

It is one thing to run a map, and not get any. It is another thing entirely to run a map, and get maps which have no value.

The current system is not sustainable. At all. It is not fun to spend so much currency and receive nothing. I am glad that you (GGG) took my suggestion and are changing the high lvl items. This may allow the high lvl map players to obtain something in return other than xp. It's a step in the right direction, but if a -3lvl map floor could be introduced, it would be greatly helpful.

With a -3 lvl floor. If I run a 69, the lowest I could get is a 66. This is acceptable. I can still receive xp from this lvl map, I can also run this map, kill a rare, and be back to lvl68.

I feel that I have portrayed the problem correctly, but as I type this, I feel that I have not stated the amount of frustration I, as well as other high map lvl players are currently enduring. It's a problem. It's not fun, it's frustrating, and in complete honesty is 100% boring to spam chat looking for scouring and chisels. Knowing that I should not, can not, run these maps 65+ without said currency orbs. Lately, I've been spending more and more time spamming chat and trading in order to run maps that I am holding onto.

TLDR:

A -3 map floor should be introduced. This will help alleviate much of the frustration I and currently other players are currently feeling from having to be broke to run maps.

I don't think such floors are good idea. With vendor recipes to upgrade maps and finding many lower maps you can get better ones. It's difficult to get many high level maps as I feel it should be. Drop rates on the other hand are probably getting changed in latest patch so we just have to wait and test.

I think your problem is thinking you should always be granted access what's best for you. I can see maps getting better drops in general and much higher levels after A3 gets introduced and game gets rebalanced. Then you will get level 90 and complain about being broke and not being able to progress and always sit in level 75+ maps.

You are level 78 and are broke because you spend everything on trying to farm levels. It is supposed to be difficult getting so high levels. If game will be designed to take 6+ months to level 100 with higher level content, then having level 78 now, as highest content is level 69, you shouldn't expect to easily reach more.

Aside from that, are you using IIQ support on your attacks? I didn't really get into 65+ maps so that's interesting for me. From my experience on lower level maps and from what I've seen on some streams it seems sustainable with high IIQ.
