Actually I've tested without preload more than with it, basically because of lazyness of typing, and because of again - Didn't make a difference for me. It probably would have if I hadn't done anything at all after installing (cuz' I remember it being very slow in the launcher in vanilla prefixes).

If you have any ideas you're welcome, just brainstorm it, I will try to look into it and keep a log of what I did.

Are you experiencing the 5-sec recurring lag all the time like me? When enemies attack it seems to get worse.

Maybe I should try to force power-management off or turn up the fans on the NVIDIA card to make sure it is running in a performance setting and not adjusting clock/fans all the time (although I highly doubt it).

So I'm trying to get my gf to play poe but she has a mac. I downloaded the port but when I tried to open the dmg file literally nothing happened - nothing launched. Do you know what could be the problem here? I don't know much about macs so chances it's something simple. It's running 10.8.5 and has an intel graphics card in case that helps.

Where exactly you are getting that error? From the crash log, I can only see that the game make illegal read request.

i get it a short bit after the game opens it is inconsistent in places but consistent in time like a minute or so after the game starts up it just gives me the serious error warning sometimes i dont even get to load the game sometimes its as soon as i load (when i dont get to start up the game im trying to see if something was weird in my settings) i have yet to be able to play it i am still excited to though
