How much experience does that map give?

I've seen the mechanics thread and it gives a formula for showing how much Exp penalty you get for doing instances below your level, but to get the real numbers you have to do the formula.

I've done the math some, and have found a rough estimate of the amount of exp you'll get for doing things outside your level

Take note that this is based on a level 75 character, so if your level is too far from that, the amounts may be off, but if you're say level 71-79 it should give you information close enough to the real amount:

Level difference = 0-7 = 100% exp
Level difference = 08 = ~98% exp
Level difference = 09 = ~90% exp
Level difference = 10 = ~75% exp
Level difference = 11 = ~60% exp
Level difference = 12 = ~45% exp
Level difference = 13 = ~32% exp
Level difference = 14 = ~24% exp
Level difference = 15 = ~17% exp
Level difference = 16 = ~12% exp
Level difference = 17 = ~09% exp
Level difference = 18 = ~06% exp
Level difference = 19 = ~05% exp
Level difference = 20 = ~04% exp

Please note that if you are below level 64, or above level 79 the results will be one level off, because you gain another "free" point of level differences) the number of levels that you can go above or below your current level without penalty)As well as the effects on EXP from grouping effect the end result.

this means that a level 71 character will get about 60% of full exp doing a level 60 map, while a level 79 will only gain about 5%

Also remember that higher level mobs naturally give more experience that lower level mobs, even not considering the penalty (as well as that higher levels require more experience to reach the next)

Hopefully this can be good info if You're not sure if you should do a map or not, and Let me know if my math is off too much.
Thank you. I'm a bit lower still and just to check if I understand this correctly:
If I'm farming a level 54 zone, I can fairly easily get up to level 63 (not included) in there? That's 3 + 3 = 6 levels difference for 100% and down to 90% is still good too, so that's another 2 levels. Which means in a level 54 zone I'll still be getting 90% exp as a level 62?
yeah, because you aren't yet at the level 64 mark, the number of free levels is 6 total, so it's an effective difference of 2 levels

granted the percentage is based on a level 75 character, so the percent may be slightly different, but I don't think it'd be off by more than 1 or 2% (it'd be nice if someone made a spreadsheet of this formula btw, I have no spreadsheet skills)
