Cure For Totem
Well another patch seemingly goes by without any changes to the most meta part of the game: totems. For good reason, they make casters and rangers near godlike. The AI's are completely stupid around them, while allowing for 2-3x more damage output than a normal character (for cheaper mana cost). To top it off, totem builds are extremely gear independent, while putting out more dps than most builds.

Try doing totems in any maps without a huge ES chest. Tell me how it goes. You are correct that it is easier than most other builds (not facebreakers, though), but if you really think it doesn't require any gear, go give it a shot.

PoE is a game where you play many different Build and have fun with many different ways to play
some need specific gear, others just need good gear, and some don't need much gear It's GOOD that there is a easily attainable Build to farm gear. Diablo2 had it's MF-Sorc for that. It's not about "I am a xyz and zyx is stronger than me, it's not fair!" Play an effective MF char if you want to farm, play something else to have fun with. This philosophy worked great in D2, but since WoW Arena PvP (imho thats the big great breaking point of RPG philosophy in the last decade) and D3 everyone seems to have forgotten that it's not MY CLASS has to be balanced against YOUR CLASS.
