Why is my 20% flask not worth a Glassblower's Bauble?

I've been running on the assumption that a 20% flask is worth a Glassblower straight, saving me having to get to 40% for the recipe to work - which has also been listed on the wiki.

Have I missed something here or is this normal?

Note that identified non-normal items do not work here; these recipes have lower priority than the identified item recipes.

Just noticed that on the wiki - which I interpret as since the flask in blue, the value of the blue mods overrides the glassblower's recipe. However how this make sense if all it's giving me is an ID shard, no way does that take priority over any other currency received through a recipe :(

It does not make sence at all. Just don't sell flasks like these, use them for your next toon or give them away to some new players.

It's kinda like when a yellow rare with great mods ends up selling for a chrom (due to coloured links) rather than a few alch shards... although that's actually worth it, unlike this case.

Why not use the flask upgrade recipe instead ( I am sorry I do not know it off the top of my head)
