My main skill is Molten shell! And each time i was trying to make MS explode, by : 1) Being surrounded. 2) Taking a Vaal smash. So how much life do you have with NO LIFE NODE at all in your build ? Answer 600 with some STR.. How much Armor did i have : 402 :o Max ele resisits were 85. By using Immostal call i could be immune to physical. Arctic Armour reduce fire and attacks but Vaal smash would kill me if, i did not raise my fire res even more than 85. How to do it ? Answer : a Ruby Flask (+12). And/or the Divination flask(+6). It's around 100% fire res. (Vaal smash = Fire+Physical) Explanations and video:

At 0:54 i took a laser shot, get shocked. ( A seething life flask of grounding helped me)
Fighting with Vaal is kinda tricky, you are never sure of his next attack ( Laser or not ), i had to gamble sometimes and hope for a smash 1:10 ( How to tank the smash ? => Immortal call ( consuming endurances charges ) + Ruby flask + Divination Flask ) When the smash hits, Molten shell explodes dealing a good amount of fire dmg ( +++BURN) At 1:50 i noticed i had no +max fire resist flasks, i did not wait for the smash. From there, rocks were falling, at this moment you have ( someone with low amount of life ) to bring the cursor very close to your character each small rock = change your way ( and evade lasers :o at the same time ) At 2:00 i decided to kill the monsters quickly to refill my flasks ( i get surrounded by them and make MS explode ) At 2:07 i run trying to make vaal follow me and make him fall in the burning the other monsters left ( Elemental proliferation ) At 2:50 i was shocked and had no flask charges, i could have stayed, casted a rejuv totem, and waited for monsters to refill my flasks! But Meh! I did not want to record this videos 3 times better not die! 4:00 i finish him with Ice spear-Culling strike. Feel free to ask any question :)) I plan to try high maps with this build ( But i don't think i could do them) Cheers! ( oh and : @GGG Nerf ES, buff life ? great job, but I don't see why that would make anyone stay that would otherwise quit.
I mean, you could try doing what you did naked and call that a challenge, I'm sure it's possible if the RNG stars allign. But, no point. |

I say "i stay" because of the 10+ troll threads i saw in general discussion in Page 1. In fact this game is offering so much challenges and things to do that i can't quit it till i do them <= that was the idea of the title!) Trying it naked is insane ( i don't know how but it might be possible one day :p ) The thing now, is that i can do again Vaal, whileding it naled requires " RNG stars allign" as you said, my challenge is possible because i found the god strategy to do him, without rng ( except when i don't know if he is going to smash or laser) I had great fun, i wanted to add in the title this : [Fun Video] unfirtunately the title would be too long. It is easier just to not get hit by smash. :P
I think the general melee gripe is that there is a lot more risk involved and less reward, which I believe to be so. I have rubber banded back into a vaal smash, didn't kill me but wouldn't have been happy if I had. A lot of melee abilities seem to cause desync. | |

I'm making a bunch of 60+ characters with 0 hp/es nodes for the keystone achievement, and I'm doing it without a belt/glove/boot slot cause it's just item quantity gear.
Surprisingly very easy with the right uniques/5links. |
