Where to find info on the various leagues and races?

PoE seems to have plenty of them but I'm not having a lot of luck finding good descriptions of each one.

agree loving this game but wish there was a detailed guide about all the leagues and races as im really lost about them

Appreciate the links, but this sort of info should be more prominent, right at the top of the events and ladder pages, rather than in forum threads. I remember it took me quite a while to find the descriptions for Anarchy and Onslaught, I had to dig back through old news posts and follow the link from there, when I should have just been able to look at the relevant page under the events heading.
