Sci-fi/Fantasy Series
So I love to read, but I usually go through "reading periods" where I read a lot and then suddenly stop. Currently I'm reading a few series at the same time, to keep it interesting, and I was wondering what your favorite science-fiction/fantasy series are.
As for my own, I haven't read much science-fiction, but my three favorite fantasy series are: 1) The Malazan Book of the Fallen 2) The Wheel of Time 3) A Song of Ice and Fire | |
I don't read much myself but have been slowly getting back into it. I'm on the 3rd book (bout 100 pages left) in The Dark Tower series and really enjoying it =)

Oh yes, that's another series I'm reading (The Dark Tower). It took me a while to finish the fourth book, and I haven't started the fifth yet.

The Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind are pretty good fantasy novels. I enjoyed them immensely in high school.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

I like Asimov (especially the Foundation series)

Favorites, hm... well, a couple come to mind:
The Uplift Series (David Brin) Chronicles of the Necromancer (Gail Z. Martin) One from each half of the divide, so to speak. I have wandered through insanity;
I have walked the spiral out. Heard its twisted dreamed inanity In a whisper, in a shout. In the babbling cacophony The refrains are all the same: "[permutations of humanity] are unworthy of the name!" |
