Tutorial Mode

as the title says I think some tutorial mode for new player would be very nice.

My friends said that the system is "overwhelming".

I played little bit of D2, FF7 , FF10 so it wasn't so bad. plus i watched some videos to start with so i got used to the game pretty quickly.

But like one of my friend, who never played D2 , ff7 , ff10 and no videos, got kind of lost/confused and found it very overwhelming.

I tried to explain it and show him how things work and told him to watch video to study.

I think this kind of process is very unfriendly to people like my friend.

It's just one of those thing that doesn't apply to me or most of the people in this forum but something that does happen.
Maybe tutorial videos would be better for noobs, I know I usually search for a "lets play (whatever game it is)" if it's a complicated game.

I guess (hope?) there will be some kind of tutorial and/or extended manual on the website and maybe also in-game when open beta begins. The code for tutorial popups is already in the game (there is one about equiping skill gems at the beach), so I'm pretty sure something will be added in that department.

As of now, you can expect most beta testers are here because they are activly interested in the game and thus most likly have studied the forums to some extend or are brought here by friends in which case they should also have a "mentor" at hand (the one who handed them the beta key).

A "Beginner's Guide" at some prominent position at the homepage would be most welcome though.
