Fps Cap! This needs attention!

Is there a way to cap fps in path of exile? I want to play this game, but can't play games that don't have fps caps as my computer tries to run at a really high fps and crashes.

Maybe there's a command I can type into a file in the containing folder?
like... setmaxfps=20; (or something like that) | |

AFAIK there is no in-game option for this. You might enable vsync which will cap FPS to around 60Hz, not optimal for performance though. There are third party utilities which externally limit FPS, such as http://www.evga.com/precision/.
