transitions and Errors

This is a known problem with 32bit windows systems running out of un-fragmented space on their ram. Try adding --nosound to your shotcut, and see if these crashes still happen. We're working on a fix for this!
Balance & Design
The game can't use more than 2gb, so as long as that isn't being used by anything else, it should be fine. The problem is more with the 32bit system, and that isn't something that you can fix without changing to a 64bit system sadly.
