Triple Buffering and Framerate limit graphical options = Excellence

I'm not aware of any DX9 game that has both triple buffering and a framerate limiter built into the game itself.

For those unfamiliar what these are:

Triple Buffering: Works with Vsync to increase average fps. Without triple buffering, your fps will always be a multiple of your vertical refresh rate (i.e. 60, 45, 30, etc.). Triple buffering allows you to get the values in between as well... at the cost of slightly increased input delay.

Framerate Limiter: While vsync allows you to lock your framerate at your vertical refresh, sometimes it's beneficial to lock it at a lower rate. Reasons: 1) Reduce input delay from vsync/triple buffering; 2) Remove micro-stuttering; 3) Reduce gpu temps/power usage; and 4) fps consistancy.

Currently, the way to do the above is to use D3Doverrider + dxtory 3rd party apps.

I'd like PoE to raise the bar of technical excellence in gaming by having both of these options in the game's video settings.

I'd also like for you to consider using a jittering implementation for shadow edges, instead of (what looks like) pcf shadowing (albeit done very well). Better yet, just expose the hlsl shader fragment code for shadows/postprocess effects for modding. While there's very few modders that work with shader code, we do exist. ;)

UPDATE: Upon closer inspection, the shadow penumbras look good... so, I'm guessing they are jittered. Nevermind, then. :P

Great game, btw. Nothing but love for it.

3 years later we still don't have this and I'm forced to find this post with a google search. RIP in peace.
