AFKing in Maps

Seeing how we need to reset the Eternal Laboratory before opening a new map, does that mean the lab & the map are in the same instance, and consequently if you AFK in the lab area, the map portals will never disappear?

I would think so as well, I mean if you are doing the map for 20 mins and you accidently died, try to run back in but since it has been over 8-15 mins since you last visited the laboratory the area reset. Unless the laboratory and maps are on a completly different timers than other areas.

Well tested it out. AFK'd in eternal lab for ~30m. Portals stayed up, but when I tried to enter, got "Failed to join instance because Disconnected from server. Failed to join any instances."
Not sure if it's an isolated incident or not. |
