problem with avast

so avast says that the new update could be infected with some kind of virus and i dont know what to do

My guess is Avast was complaining that the Client.exe version changed and needed to re-verify that you accept an executable version changing.
They do this as a protection to make sure you've only authorized executables that you know are safe. Once you verify it is safe, it wants to make sure that no other code was slipped it, etc.. and it usually just does this by version number (unless it gave you the name of a virus). If all it said was that the Path of Exile Executable changed, then that is expected... otherwise if it told you the name of a virus, you should let GGG know so they can research it and fix it if needed. |
