Fluid combat controls

Hi,

this might seem like a rather abstract suggestion. It has nothing to do with core mechanics, design, whatsoever. Nevertheless it could make quite a difference, I think.

I actually took this from Diablo 3, which I do not really play anymore and I see myself playing PoE a lot more in the future. But in terms of controls there's one pretty awesome detail about D3. So, when you fight a group of monsters and kill the one you're clicking on, it automatically switches to the next (you can hold down the mouse button, don't have to "reclick"). In PoE your character stops doing anything after the first monster died and you have to reclick your mouse on the next one. In my opinion the combat feels much more fluid with the automated picking of the next enemy. It should obviously only happen after a monster's dead though to prevent you from hitting a different monster every time you hit. Could be not too easy to implement, I guess, but might be worth it.

tl;dr
When fighting a group of monsters, let the character automatically attack the next one after a monster died, so you don't have to "reclick" to attack again.

Keep up the good work! :)

Yes! I would love this
This is actually something I really don't like about diablo 3. I think it really removes a feeling of precision when killing a tight pack and the cursor is just flitting between them spreading the damage instead of killing them one at a time and TBH if you can't be bothered to aim a mouse cursor to reclick then why have buttons on the mouse? Why not let it auto play for you? Why play at all? Just buy the end cinematics and be done with it......

But seriously....
In D2 you always had the option of a similar function if you held the shift key to stand still and pressed beyond the monster pack you would always hit the nearest as they swarmed around you, but letting go returned you to the precision of hitting individual monsters. A much better system IMO.

+1 to this, coming form D2/D3 this should be implemented asap. My number one grief about this game is the mouse targeting and viewing angle of the game..

Please at least make this an option!
Shift-clicking is already in this game..
shift clicking can still miss, because of the tiny hitboxes... and since there are presently no health bars, youll have no idea if youre missing or hitting.

That is just me okay but I really would like that, a part of the customization would be to customize the AI, like Final Fantasy XII or Dragon Age

Ex.
life below 50% - use flask in slot 2
surrounded by 2+ enemies - use cleave skill
facing high HP/resist enemy - use heavy strike skill
I quite like both of these ideas.

I never played D3 but the one-click system does sound really nice.

Then again, having precision is pretty important in a game like PoE.

I guess it's kinda a toss-up, I feel like the game would definitely benefit from either one.
I prefer it like this... less casual
The only thing that annoys me is, when I kill a crab, and it loses its shell. Then I have to reclick on that monster, and there is even a little delay before I can click it. That's a little annoying.
