Gold farming group and self-farming

I joined a gold farming group (6-man party — allflame gilded setup, T16 8-mod map...) for about half an hour, and it felt like the amount of gold I got was literally equal to everything my character had earned from level 1 to 99.
This feels very unbalanced. I understand the power of min-maxing, setups, and alignment, but this level of imbalance kills all the dopamine from gold drops for most players who try gold farming groups.
Now it’s either you join a group or stop caring about gold-target farming entirely.
It would be great if GGG could somehow tighten and balance this better.

Just out of curiosity did you record your gold during all of this?

It was like 5 - 7 maps in under 30 mins, and got 3+ mils gold.
