[3.27] Kinetic Fusillade, the build of the league (Elementalist/Olroth)

Hi everyone,today i'll talk about one of the best build of this leaguestart. Kinetic Fusillade.

1- The Skill himself

Kinetic Fusillade is a new skill and the PoE version of PoE2's Ember fusillade.
When you attack, it store a projectile for a duration. Attacking during this duration will refresh it and store an additionnal projectile with a maximum of 12.
Each projectile fired in sequence will deal 12% more damage (20/20 gem). To say it simple if first do 100, second do 112, next 124... Last one will do a massive 232 dmg.
Having more projectile allows to hold more projectile in 1 clic. With proper setup, you will 1 clic and hover the max 12 projectiles.

Why is it so strong ?

Having 12 proj in 1 cast with the 107% effectiveness give you in total 21,45 times all flat you have in your build. BUT, for that you need GMP+greater volley that remove 2 supports gems (and less duration so 3), Those gems add a penality and you final multiplier is "only" 12,87 times.
GGG, put down your nerf's Hammer, it is strong but not broken.


But there is more... Gem have an hidden CD for the firing sequence.
Base hover duration is 0,7 sec but you have to add 50ms BASE duration between each projectile

I've made some testing lowering and uping skill effect duration and it appears that both hover delay AND firing sequences are affected.

2- The machine Gun effect
So base gem gameplay is attack one or several times to hold 12 proj, let them fire and redo.
Strong but... a bit weird.
So what happens if my salvo time (hovering + firing) is faster than my attack speed ?
It result a machin gun effect ! You're holding your clic, your character fire 12 proj each time you attack. On my actual character, it results a bit more than 90 projectiles per seconds

3- Offence
From this point, we are leaving the pure theory part and i'll explain my way to setup the character.
As we said before, we have a big multiplier number so i tried to fit a lot of flat damage, crit cap, max crit multiplier and lot of penetration.
I added chances to deal double damage while focus on wand and shield, it give a burst windows increadible. No uber can survive your eshgraft lucky boost when you focus

That's why i chosen :

Body armor :

A lot of flat and some defensive tools like suppress and high evasion. No life on it open the 15% life masterie


Wand :

Flat lightning, spell damage for 150% of spell damage applying to atk, crit, crit multi, pen, all you need to do heavy damage


Rest of gear :

Pretty standard assuming i have my amulet and 1 ring taken :
Taming (we inflict 3 ailments), Primsweave (in damage setup), rage and exposure on gloves, action speed on boots to have the right atk speed.


Jewels :

Watcher with pen, clusters with damage/leech/pen, every things you need, flat damage on abyss one if possible.


Aura and gems :

Wrath, spellslinger tornado for huuuuuge shotgun effect (KF have an aoe explosion and integrated chain).
In gems, i choosed : KF - less duration - aw GMP - volley as base
Volatility is a big multiplier for lightning dommage and works well with lucky hit and double dmg on shield
Aw elemental damage with atk is big multiplier too and make me elem reflect imune (i play bastion of element until 100 for the shield but as soon as I hit 100, i'll take Mastermind of discord


Graft:

I chosed (thanks lolcohol and community for that) a pretty huge dmg boost here.
Joy esh one give 20% more max atk damage (really need a lucky hit...) at the cost of 10% more dmg taken (we can handle this). Add penetration and Joy also give crit multi and you have a big boy here
Storming one give you flats AND lucky hit as soon as you are in the range making your character a destroyer of worlds. I took pen and AoE for graft skill (more confortable)


4- Defenses

Multi-hit :
Evade/hybrid based, 82% chance to evade, ghost dance, corrupted soul with Life and ES leech (Jungroan tech) is more than enought to staying alive in softcore.
You can add that i have range, chill and maim on this setup and a lot of dps

One shot :
Suppress cap (helm, shield, boots, armor), high evasion and decent pool (5k life/es).

Character is not a tank but not a glass canon one. EDIT : in ward setup, it is realy confortable

Physical mitigation :

elementalist shaper of flame + eldrich implicite on helmet is good enough for me and my 30k evade

This is not working as before. On this patch, you need at least 80+ fire res to have PDR, best is to drop it for bastion of element and Mastermind of discord.

By the way, on reddit, a guy suggest me to swap to Yanda's Stand, that convert a part of my evasion from my chest in Ward, added to Global defense runegraft, i have 3700 ward. (stone golem gives global defenses too)

WARD mecanics :

Ward is a sort of shield that take ALL damages FROM HIT before your life or ES. It is a strong anti 1-2 shot mecanics. The big cons is that even a 1 damage hit will brake your ward for a base duration of 2 sec.

BUT in bloodline ascendancy, you have 5% chance to restore ward on hit. You cast more than 90 projectiles per second so this add a huge defensive setup, enought to totaly drop bastion of element during my lvl 100 push


Chaos res :

my first idea was to go CI but loose the replica hyrrie with flat, suppress and lot of evade was not an option for me. Reroll trickster ? No… I finally looted a chaos res light of the meaning and it was the solution. I finished the cap with 3 tattoos and atziri promise flask.

Flask uptime :

secret tips, charge on crit precision watcher is op for big big uptime. I still have 40% without flask and arakali major sooooo…

Ailment :

stormshroud, 2 abyss jewel and eldrich implicit on boots.
BE CAREFULL ! at least one of them MUST HAVE fire dmg. If not, you lose ignite and a lot of dmg of the taming since we dropped Shaper of flame

Stun :

the point I need to work on… atm I have a stun recovery flask…

5- Ascendancy

why elementalist over warden, deadeye, scion…

To be honest my plan was kinetic rain double tincture warden setup. But when I did my leveling test with kb, something was weird. Then ggg said nop to kinetic rain and Jungroan made an elementaliste leveling I tried and loved. Elementalist have a stupid first ascendencies and I was like ok if i don’t know how to scale, I can do ruetoo cf, Jung necro, minions thinks, elem ignit early. So minimum risk for starter.

Golems give you :
Flame : damage and AoE
Ice : crit and accuracy
Thunder : atk and cast speed AND mana regen
Stone : ES/Evade and life regen

And it scale with golem lvl... Say no more, to start it is broken

Later perhaps i'll try a different ascendancy.

6- QoL, Clear, Single...

Flask : watcher eye with precision mod give me flask charge on crit and solve the sustain, i love this too much
Single target : Tornado is literaly a shot gun tool, i'll cover that on video later
Clear : this is why I spellslinger my tornado. It spawn at my feet, making me loose 1 chain for my KF but allowing me a spark of nova playstyle in mechanics like Ritual

First is defensive one without all buff (sigil ON but no focus, no storm graft)
Second Full damage setup, we drop survability (1 cluster, ascendancy and belt change), Playable, but a bit squichy, good for those who love BIG pob numbers.
Third is defensive one but with all buff ON

With only like 20 div, do you think this is worth making? Impossible Escape is +25 div alone, so guess i would have to work around that somehow with lack of reduced skill effect duration.
you can, streamers are making PoB with alternative pathing you can follow

Look up Locohols CI Version on youtube or mobalytics. He stated he did 4 Stones & Ubers without the Impossible Escape version.
It is by no means neccessary it just gives you more freedom to tinker with attackspeed, it's a nice chase item for the build.
How do you become "focused" on this build ?
