Syndicate Medallion - does it exist?

I have run 25+ safehouses, yet this medallion does not drop. HOW MANY DO I HAVE DO RUN TO GET AT LEAST ONE (CENSORED) MEDALLION?! MAKE IT LESS RARE!

If they kept it the same as last league, there is a lot of RNG involved with Catarina farming,

One of the Bloodline Ascendancy classes is gated behind her - as of yet unreachable, as the medaillion DOES.NOT.DROP.

If you want the bloodline ascendancy, why not just buy the medallion and get it done with?

Is this a good design though? Introducing a level of randomness to something that was deterministically farmable? It's the only boss that works like that currently isn't it? Some of the fragment entry like ubers and uber elder have a certain degree of randomness with the fragments, but this one now has a pretty big swing for no real reason that I can see, and the fragments for the non-ubers can be shuffled on the harvest bench if needed. Cortex has randomness with needing the drop, but it is not tied to one of the main content spawns. Catarina has been and should continue to be a more targetable, middle difficulty boss, in my opinion. I don't see any good reason was having it like this. There's already a large swing on the rewards because of the veiled exalt drops.

Yep
it seems something happened after some patches. I easy obtained several medallions on day 1-2 and then they disappeared from drop Holy Kuduku show me the way!

I haven't found one either in ~30 safehouses. Last league I got roughly 1 in 10 safehouses. Not sure what's going on, but other people in my Private League have had better success so I am not ruling out that I am just having a dry streak.
I will say that I liked the old system better because I'd always know when I could engage with Mastermind again. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
