Thoughts on the League and Issues

I've been resisting making this post as I doubt ggg will even see it and I'm not really someone who visits forums a lot but the game's issues have become so prevalent that I just have to do it. I think that anyone with a modicrum of awareness has noticed the decline of the game ever since the poe2 release and perhaps even before it, and we only get more and more examples of it every league. From baffling design choices, horrible performance and just a general lack of creativity it seems to me the game is continuously heading in the worst possible direction.

Let me start by saying that the keepers league mechanic is genuinely good and while you can argue it takes from various mechanics like necropolis and blight I think it adds a lot of original aspects and is generally transformative of the content it takes inspiration from.

But as per ggg tradition the league is plagued by problems of their own making, the biggest one in my personal experience has been the shader causing me to crash constantly, depending on the mechanics I'm doing even multiple times per map. I have definitely noticed the lack of loot too but as I play ssf it has not been as much of an issue for me as it has been for the vast majority of players.

It's crazy how fast my excitement at the beginning of maps transitioned into annoyance and afterwards resignation as every patch failed to acknowledge a lot of these issues or just badly addressed them. To me from the outside looking in it just seems like most of these issues could be avoided by a little bit of testing but it's hard to judge what is tested and kept in anyway since we don't really have that information.

The copy pasted bosses, shadownerfs and lackluster patch notes really make me wonder just what ggg does in the 3-4 months between leagues, all in all this has been a really miserable league to play which is sad because i really enjoy the league mechanic.

or not, ggg and their agents do peruse the forums. they are looking
for problems and considering weither or not they are grounded.

they almost never reply. but the more specifically you can place
a problem, and explain why it is one, the easier it is for them
and their agents to decide to act or not. if they dont get what
you are talking about they wont do anything. so things you can explain
in detail will get more attention. and if a bunch of other people
are also bringing the same subject up. it adds to it.

I try to complain in productive ways, I've seen others that have get
results without their involvement or the original problem even being
mentioned in the patch notes. they listen, but they dont tell you that
they did, or that the will do anything about it if they did.
I hope the changes they are posting about solve alot of the issues.

the shader issue im having is the same one thats at the top of the technical difficulties section and its been there since pretty much the start of the league with a ton of replies and they've neither addressed nor acknowledged it

the fact it made it into the game in the first place is crazy as anyone who presses F1 and sees the shader bar remains full for 99% of the time will be able to spot the issue

i genuinely agree with your approach but my post was pretty much written out of desperation in between game crashes
I want you problem solved. I want my problems solved too.
there are a lot of problems to be solved.

The better you can explain when and how the shader results in
a problem the better. there are a bunch of other people
contributing to the description of the problem as well,
this will help solve it. gotta understand a problem to solve it.

you and I both gotta be patient.

I'm not a fan of problems either.

I know they are aware of your post, and it probably is on the list
of stuff to do but its probably low. they sometimes get fixated on stuff
that barely effects anyone. sometimes they ignore stuff that effects us all.
