Grafts and reflect damage

Actually im a slam berserker and do only phys damage. I have 2 defensive grafts that do elemental damage when im on low life. Recently i run a reflect elemental damage map and got killed 2 times.
Because the grafts triggered when i was on low life and with the reflect damage of the grafts i got finished and kissed the ground.

The other problem is, when i try to unequip the grafts i loose the blood earned with it.

Grafts damage should not be reflected or it should be possible to disable them without loosing anything.

Likely, you died from something else. But if you are convinced this is true, you should submit a bug report.

GGG stated the below in the pre-release Q&A:

Will graft skills scale off my damage and am I able to die from my graft skills reflected damage?

Graft skills do not scale off of player stats, but do have affixes which will affect their skills in many ways. Since graft damage is not dealt by the player, reflected damage will not be dealt back to the player from graft skill use.

I died 2 times. The first time i couldnt figure out what happend, just started the map and jumped into a monster group. They hit my, something happend and i died.

Before i died the 2 time i noticed that i got huge amount of damage when i get hit. Not all the time, but when the graft triggers i think at least.
Maybe its a bug, dont know. Never happend again.
And im sure the map had only elemental reflect. The other mods on the map i didnt care, because the were harmless for me.

That sounds GGG post linked by piousqd sounds pretty comprehensive about them not reflecting, unless perhaps they were buffing you in some way.

You are using infernal cry, it is a pretty common source of aggravation for people dying to reflect. The skill itself says it can not reflect, but this does not apply to the triggered combust skill which converts to ele and does reflect. That would be my first guess to check. It would be happening when you are non-low-life as well, but it is hard to tell with this skill, you might be able to survive it and looks like some sort of other damage. It's only on the exerted attacks, and sometimes if you are not scaling ele, you might be able to tank it on hitting a small mob, but if you hit a big pack all the damage adds up and blows you up.

If you rule that out might be some other possibilities or possibly some interaction with the graft. Grafts don't show on your profile so I can't see exactly what they are doing.

(edit: checked your link, I do not think that graft will be the cause of the reflect, it if the grafts themselves do not reflect. I'm using the wreathed in lightning, which gives an added lightning buff, it's possible that would reflect, as buffs normal would, unless they are preventing the graft buff from reflecting. Pretty sure it will be IC for you though.)

That could be true. Only run maybe 2 elemental reflect map and i remember another moment where i had similar problems, but didnt die.

Im not sure at the moment if i want to test it again.

If you do, try taking out IC first. I've made quite a few post to GGG saying I think the IC information is misleading, even if technically correct. Not seeing anything else on your build that it would be, Molten shell is fine as reflected damage doesn't reflect again.

I think the grafts skills all require the graft button to be actioned, so can just not be pushed.

I think OP is referencing not loosing the graft blood. It is possible to keep the graft blood when swapping grafts, so long as it is swapped directly in the window, rather than taking it out then replacing it. If wanting to remove the graft for some reason, another graft could be swapped in, possibly a blank one, so long as it had enough capacity to hold the stored graftblood build up.

As far as I know, while Graft skills can't do reflect dmg, stuff like "adds x to x cold dmg" can be reflected, since that is added to the player. So if you have that on your graft, that's probably what killed you.

Also, if you just swap out your graft instead of removing it, you don't lose the blood.
