Why do Trap Skills have such backwards synergy

It seems like everything in this game is designed to not work with traps. On Kill effects, etc. What would be so wrong with traps working with such things?

Even things that are literally for traps. Like trigger effects and such that only trigger on an enemy trigger, but yet certain skills and items remove enemy triggers. Losing out on the entire synergy.

Traps need a full re-design, would love to see Mark play a trapper some league, so he can add some QoL to trappers :)
