Good ping but bad lantency
|
Hi,
I'm struggling the network issues. I have a good network connection (GB), On the login screen I have have good pings on servers around me (50ms) But once logged in the latency is over 300!!! I have tried both network modes (footstep, predictive), I can feel be better experience in predictive mode, but not really optimal as even if I move smoothly, the felling is very unpleasant on every other aspect of the game (inventory, picking up an item, even killing monster is async ...) I have also tried other servers (~100-200ms) on the logging screen, but exactly the same latency once connected (almost 400ms). I don't see what I could do on my side, it's been over a year since I haven't been able to play the game, but I didn't remember this was that bad. I don't feel like I could enjoy playing the game. Had the same experience when I wanted to try POE2 on the open day a few weeks ago. Thanks of any help. Last bumped on Nov 10, 2025, 2:46:03 PM

I'm still having the issue,
On login screen, the game tells me I have 42ms ping to South Africa servers. (I'm in reunion island so this is the closest) But once logged in I'm over 400ms ... unplayable. Almost same for singapour 112ms -> 350ms I have better result if I select Paris 180ms -> 230ms in game (most of the time) For singapor, I manage to have better ingame ping when forcing new instances 2-3 times, some time doing this I manage to have an instance at around 120ms ! This does not seems to work when selection SF servers ... So this seems to be related to servers |
