Pressing [alt] to change from alteration orbs to augmentation orbs needs a customizable hotkey

This feature is great QOL, but it conflicts with the DEFAULT hotkey for showing advanced item descriptions. So if you used to alteration roll items while holding [alt] (which is frustratingly the only way to keep prefix on top and suffix on the bottom), you can no longer do this after the QOL change.

It would really be nice if features like this are just given a hotkey, it would eliminate a lot of frustration.

After 5 minutes of brainstorming, I changed the advanced item description button from Alt to Shift. I don't see any downsides yet, so I'm continuing to test.

Shift is the default for using multiple currencies on an item. So, if you want a spam an item and you have show advanced item descriptions also Shift. You'll ALWAYS show advanced when you want to spam currencies. Not saying that's a downside, but a side effect. But I agree, this is still better, because the new Alt behavior on using Alterations breaks the previous behavior of spamming alts while showing advanced item descriptions.

This needs a keybind option for sure. Pressing both alt and shift while alt spamming an item has been the only way to craft items like flasks for ever. Now the forced aug makes this even worse.
