Fortress - Yoke Of Suffering Drop Rate Seemingly Broken

This seems to be widely interpreted as "I dropped 3 in 20 maps", or "I haven't seen one in 50 maps". I am on the latter side, I've just ran 50 Fortress maps and my uber fragments are now piling up with no Yoke Of Suffering. Can someone please check on this

Going to ask since you didn't mention it, are unique Onyx amulets shown on your filter? Most end game filters hide boss drops that are shared with other common uniques.

As for drop rate, 3 in 20 is very lucky and outliers. They probably went 50+ without one at some point if they continue farming for a long time. Looking at various posted datasets (that may or may not be true), somewhere around 3-5% seems more accurate and 50+ kills without one is another outlier, but within normal ranges.

The thing I'm not seeing tracked or mentioned is if there's any other variable to the Yoke drop. Other bosses typically guarantee 1 unique of a set, but Fortress only has one unique so it's just an unknown chance to drop. But what if you stack quantity, or rarity, does that scale that chance? You would have to run essentially thousands of "low" quantity Fortress maps with high rarity and vice versa to have any substantial data if it matters, but is a consideration for the variance. Unless there's a GGG post somewhere that says otherwise.

I'm not certain, but in SSF I'm typically pretty stubborn and I just keep grinding because that is what I signed up for. I just think something may be off as I see around the internet it's between 3%-5%. At 50 out of 100 maps though that would indicate it is far lower.

Frankly I don't care as I'm still playing SSF and I'll still keep trying, I was mostly wanting someone to just review that drop rate and see if it's on track.

Also upon each kill I hold Alt to verify it's not a filter issue

This is not a bug, this is simply being unlucky. You can run 200 fortresses and not see a yoke drop once. Is it likely? Not at all, but absolutely not impossible. There are more listings of yoke of suffering on sc trade than any other t17 boss unique. Keep farming you will drop one eventually.
