Need some insight regarding items.

Hello Exiles. DUring the many years playing PoE, items in standard keeps piling up. I want to make a character in standard using all of the currency from leagues, all the nice items and such, on a singel shining golden GOD.

But before we reach that stage I do have some issues I'm not sure how to solve myself.

The build I wanna use is Molten strike of Zenith as a strenght stacker Original Sin wielder. After looking at different builds I found one I wanted to use as a base line and so far so good, until I can to helmet and weapon.

The pobb says to use "Crown of Eyes" for the line "Increases and reductions to spell damage is also applied to attacks at 150% value" incombination with a heavy Ele dps 2handed beast with chaos res and other good stuff and synth mods etc.

My problem is I already have a hat. A very nice looking Blizzard crown with str, life, crit mult, %phys taken as fire, crit strike per X str and accuracy gain = str. (don't know how to imbue a png from desktop but trust me, hat is awesome)

If I should choose to abandon Crown of Eyes and instead use my hat, should I just look for a sharp iron stick worth of my mirror? A few of the mirrorable swords I've looked at so far have 1 ele stat and then +% Spell damage instead of a second ele dmg stat which I giess favours Crown of Eyes. Had I been more profitient in PoB I could most likely solve this matter by looking at the weapons/helmets in PoB but sadly my skillpoints are put elsewhere.

What would be best for the build: Crown of Eyes with double ele mirror sword or Fancy hat helm with massive ele dmg mirror sword (I haven't found one yet but I've not looked through that man shops yet).

If I come across as scatterbrained the answer is: YES! I am very tired and in quite som back pain in combo with pain medicin. Have a great evening.

Read up more on what you are trying to build: your reasoning for why builds use Crown of Eyes is incorrect.

Crown of Eyes is used primarily in conjunction with Iron Will. The vast majority of the ENTIRE build's damage comes from this interaction. The spell damage roll on a weapon doesn't really have anything to do with it, although it makes it cheaper and easier to gear.

I would say its as essential, and as impactful as the Replica Alberons

If you haven't already done so, look at PoE Ninja of this league and former leagues: MSoZ + Original Sin. Sort by dps, then notice the difference from the Crown builds vs the non-crown builds.

Here's a link to basically a "perfect" version of what you want (albeit with no legacy items that can bush it way further):
https://poe.ninja/builds/settlers/character/Lorens0-6806/%D0%94%D0%B6%D0%B0%D0%B3%D0%B0%D0%94%D0%B0%D0%B3%D0%B0?i=0&search=skills%3DMolten%2BStrike%2Bof%2Bthe%2BZenith%26items%3DOriginal%2BSin%26sort%3Ddps

(Notice: no spell damage on the sword..., a perfect t1 spell damage would be almost exactly the same dps if you replaced the fire damage roll)
Starting anew....with PoE 2
