Partyplay, Mercenaries in Hideouts

Why can we see other ppl's mercenaries in hideouts?

Scenario.
I join my friends hideout. he wants to talk to his mercenaries but he can see both of our mercs being stuck into each other at the same spot, can't interact with the one he wants because mine are in the way.
So why can he see my mercenaries? Pointless and annoying, he can't interact with mine but now he barely can interact with his own mercs.
