purity of chaos

is there a purity of chaos gem? i die very fast to the ascendency emperor, the one in trial of aspirants who keeps giving motivational speeches. is his green orb chaos damage? i have 70%+ in other resist, and i dont think its physical, and i assume these are the only damage types, i die instantly to green orbs.

Izaro‘s Goddess of Justice‘s skills deal Fire Damage.
I don’t know how much health & Energy Shield your character has, but you’re supposed to avoid most of her skills. That said, if you’re getting one-shot then you definitely have a survivability issue. |

Strategy for Izaro:
Stand back at first, his first attack will almost always be a charge or leap slam. Easy to dodge. Then, for a while you can circle around him and attack until he readies a slam. Run away from the slam. Rinse and repeat. You shouldn't get hit by any attack. If you are ranged, stand back and just dodge his leap slam and charge attacks. I can't tell you how many times I've fought and beat Izaro, easily in the thousands after 12 years......I thought ALL his attacks were physical and cold this entire time. wait.....now you got me looking at poedb.....does he NOT do any cold damage?! " I mean, he can do Cold Damage; e.g. letting the Freezing Essence hug him will give him a proportion of his Physical Damage as Added Cold Damage. One of the Conduits will give him that buff, too. You can also eat some incidental Cold Damage from the idol (and a returning elemental, lul). It's not a bad shout to have a plan for dealing with Cold Damage when heading into the Lab! |

^yea but I thought nearly all his attacks had some physical converted to cold. And I've been wrong for MANY years. I can't even remember where I first heard that but its been stuck in my mind ever since.

i did it again and the green orbs arent doing that much damage anymore. i changed my gear since last time, i think its either the wave attack, or the curly brown stuff that comes out of the ground, that instantly killed me. he uses the green orb together with these attacks, i must of got it confused and thought it was the green orb attack that killed me. the wave attack still almost kill me, must be physical or chaos.
