Spectres support gem : 21/20 minion life or 4/20 empower ?

Hello,

I'm looking for advice on how to compare two support gems for my spectres:
- Perfect Primal Demiurge
- Perfect Pain Artist

My goal is to increase their life pool, and I'm deciding between these two gems:
- Minion Life (21/20)
- Empower (4/20)

Which one do you think would be more effective?

Also, is there a resource or table where I can find the base life values of these spectres to help run the numbers?

You can test the relative difference with animate guardian. Equip the gems and then check the skills under your character sheet “c”. Hovering over animate guardian shows his health.

But I still can't figure out how to find the life of my spectre with this...

Far as I understand:

1. Find out the correct monster level. This is the level requirement for the gem to use. So for example level 25 has 80: https://poedb.tw/us/Raise_Spectre

2. Look at the table in your link https://poedb.tw/us/Perfect_Primal_Demiurge#PerfectPrimalDemiurgeManaPhantasmHighcache-1 For lvl 80 Spectre it shows 3750.

That's right, and it's a good argument. I now have 3 spectres (and even 4 with the passive skill). Thanks to that I'm able to have yet another aura (Grace) that greatly contributes to the survivability of my spectres, and compensates the loss of the Minion Life gem in some kind of way.
