Animated Guardian
Why doesn't GGG allow an animated Guardian to revive in an area where it died? There are builds that are the only source of damage and the animated Guardian, and it makes no sense to lose all six portals on a map without even dying. Imo, it should be allowed to return to the hideout, revive the animate Guardian, and return with it to the map.

Because now AG does not lose items upon death, and the inability to revive is the negative side of this improvement.

The Animated Guardian used to be deleted on death; you’d need to accumulate items all over again. Blocking it from re-entering an instance after dying inside was the trade-off GGG decided upon.
They did it to avoid an AG being a mandatory inclusion for literally every build. If you invest some significant currency into an AG they can do a lot for you; to be balanced, it can’t be available on-tap. If you want that level of power to be consistently available, then the challenge is to give it sufficient survivability. I don’t think anyone would support calls for AG to be buffed further. |
