Cannot play POE 2 on Steam, Need to change e-mail on POE account.

Here's a cautionary Tale : Do NOT purchase POE 2 if you no longer have access to the e-mail you signed up to with POE.

I purchased an Early Access on Steam. I input the key on my POE account & then input the key provided to download the game on Steam.

Upon booting the game up through Steam it asks me if I have a POE account linked to Steam. I do not so I am prepared to do so. However the e-mail I signed up with for POE way back in the day (2015) was one I used while I was in school. After I graduated, I lost access to it. Okay, all I should need to do is change the e-mail on my POE account to one I currently use (an icloud e-mail) which should be more stable & at the very least an e-mail I should have access to for a long time.

I try to change my e-mail in my POE account but despite being given the option to input a new e-mail & my password, I get the message stating I will get an e-mail where I have to take the next steps. The wording makes it seem like I will be getting it to the e-mail I want to change to but I'm guessing it is actually trying to e-mail my old/inaccessible e-mail so that's not helpful, at all.

I decide this isn't worth all the aggravation & try to create a new account so I can link it to my current e-mail which is also the e-mail on Steam. Makes sense right?

Then I get a message that tells me I need to purchase an early access pass basically bricking me from the game since I cannot seem to even "logout" of this. It's forcing me to purchase another early access pass. Yeah, no thank you.

I was "advised" to download the launcher & try to install POE 2 but I'm guessing it will result in the same issue since I only have a Steam Key for the game. I'm in the process of trying to reinstall POE 2 again on Steam to see if that will allow me at least to get back to having the option of trying to link my Steam Account to POE Account. Since it sends the steps to link to the e-mail address I no longer have access to, I cannot proceed.

Anyone else have this issue? Backend support to change e-mails from ones we no longer have access would be greatly helpful.
