When is the final character wipe?

Is it when open beta starts or when the full game is released?

It has been stated that WASD will not be supported, so I presume gamepads won't either.

Good to know that there will be no wipe after full game is released. Ill just wait till open beta to play it. No sense in playing now for a month or so and lose my character when wipe happens.

Well you can try out builds to see what works and also help beta test the game to help make it better. There is still plenty incentive to play until open beta.
