[Kakao server] 7 Characters Stuck in "Failed to Connect to Instance" Loop after HC Death
Hello,
I am writing to report a critical and widespread issue with my account on the Korean realm (Kakao Games). A total of 7 characters on my account are completely unable to log into the game, consistently receiving a "Failed to connect to instance" error message. This problem started after one of my Hardcore characters died and was moved to the Standard league. That character was initially stuck with the same instance error. To try and fix it, I created and deleted a new character, which temporarily resolved the issue for the stuck character. I then proceeded to delete the affected Hardcore character. However, after deleting the character, the instance error spread to multiple existing Standard characters on my account. Now, these 7 characters are unplayable. (Level: 96, Class: Hierophant) Last Known Location: My hideout, a specific map, or a town in an Act Crucial Point: I can successfully log in and play on other realms (e.g., Singapore), but the error only occurs when trying to log into the Seoul realm. This strongly indicates the issue is not with my local PC or network, but with my account's data on the Seoul server. Troubleshooting Steps I have tried (all failed): Restarted the game client and my PC. Waited for over 15 minutes for the instance to reset. Tried creating a new instance by holding Ctrl + clicking on Waypoints and the Map Device. Deleted the ShaderCacheD3D12 and Minimap folders in my game directory. Switched between "Predictive" and "Lockstep" networking modes. Performed a DNS flush (ipconfig /flushdns). I have already contacted Kakao Games support and am awaiting their response. My Request: This is a severe server-side issue that I cannot resolve from my end. I am kindly asking for your technical team to manually move all 7 of my affected characters to a safe town instance, such as Act 1 Lioneye's Watch, so I can access them again. Thank you for your time and help in resolving this critical problem. Last bumped on Jun 25, 2025, 6:44:42 PM
