The Saviour not spawning mirages

Diamond shrine didn't spawn them, gems in and out of sword, diamond shrine on or not, no matter what crit hits, it just isn't spawning them (in off-hand or in main) unless I'm missing something about this swords interaction. (using smite and vaal-smite)
