Consecrated Ground Effect (Video)

I made a short video demonstrating the effect of the new unique if anyone is curious:

Based on the 210 hp/s gain and 4.2k life that you can see in the video it looks like the area buffs life regeneration by 5% of your maximum health, which is amazing seeing as most life builds can easily survive with 5%.

One use I can think of for this is a high chance to block cyclone build, you would create areas of high life regen as you cyclone through mobs and because of the mechanics of cyclone you would negate the block recovery "stuns" that can happen with high chance to block.

I'm not sure about its ability as a support aura; it has a rather small area of effect and even with 50% block chance you would only have a 12.5% chance to "cast" Consecrate Ground every time you get hit.

Any other build ideas?

PS: Just timed it and the Consecrated Ground lasts for 10 seconds.

On top of that, Aegis Aurora and this armor go together like bread and butter.

so cool. Is it the next gem skill ? i think.

Yeah this and Aegis Aurora would be nice, you would have to get armour from your other gear though, but still you would be regenerating both health and energy shield with both uniques.

Do you think this would work with Zealot's Oath? Imagine 5% ES regen on top of the Aegis Aurora effect.

I did a test of that idea and it works rather well at spreading Consecrated Ground:

You just have to either go slow or back track to make sure you get the bonus regen, it would come in handy though as it sticks around for a good 10 seconds.

Definitely better than a Rejuvenation totem in terms of life regen at higher levels. Does anyone know if the effect is modified by Increased Radius of Area Skills from the passive tree?

Yeah I really want to know this as well, I just hate to spend the points to test it. If it works that'd be a geeat solution to one of my dream builds.

so anyone got any idea about this ? the increased area keystone + this unique ?

So has the Consecrated ground effect been nerfed? It didn't seem to give as much as before when I was playing in a group with someone using Gift's from Above.

Do these two uniques give a different amount of regen? Or was the 5% life regen reduced?

It does work with Zealot's Oath by the way.
