" Yeah its almost a a right of passage for young Kiwis and Aussies. We call it going on our OE (overseas experiance) Most of us go to the UK due to the fact we can get 2 year workign holiday visas (some can get ancestray visas) The way it works is you can not legally work for more than a year of the 2. NZ is so far away form everything we use this time to travel the world mostly europe with either south america or middle east of africa thrown in on the way home. I lived in edinburgh scotland for 2 years and travelled europe and came back through Jordan, Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysa, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and then back to Thailand and flight home to Auckland. Joking about the unemplyed thing (not really) we welcome all comers who come with a open mind and heart. Tu Meke GGG

" Rotfl, I subconciously read your post with a kiwi accent and didn't understand much, then I thought to myself WTF and re-read. From what I know in order to move to NZ one like me needs either some serious career qualifications or a proper degree of education, preferably both. One does not just move to NZ without an already contracted work. No longer being a promising young lad doesn't help either.
