key errors (poe2)

have a friend who i gave a key too but it wasnt a working key i didnt realize and now he bought it and epic client key is unavailable and steam says he owns it but 1. doesnt let him link his steam account to poe (Error occured) and 2. doesnt let him or me actually login to poe with steam also (error occured)
