Visage of Ayah and The Everlasting Gaze

I am not quite sure if the interraction between The Visage of Ayah and The Everlasting Gaze works as intended.

The Visage transforms all ES into Mana since it has the Eldritch Battery affix, but if you equip the Amulet (Everlasting Gaze) it will transform back 30% of that max Mana into ES, thus, bypasses the Eldritch Battery from the Visage.

Meaning, Eldritch Battery doesn't always switch ES into Mana, maybe doesn't always have priority? I thought it would re-reconvert that Mana to ES conversion from the amulet into Mana again.

Sorry if my explanation isn't clear, I tried to simplify it.

I can't tell you if this behaviour was intended by GGG, but it's the behaviour we should expect with the changes to conversion in PoE2.
Conversion applies before any "Gain %X as Y" effects, as such EB converts all your flat ES into mana, and afterwards the amulet gives you a % of your Mana back as ES. Atziri's Disdain also does this.
