about partying

so a friend brought something interesting info to me. grouping up makes things insanely easier as mob hp isn't that much of a concern. why? because as a group, damage from party scales better than mob's hp scaling. a groups' damage output is sum of the group, while the DEFENSE is the ability to keep the monster away from an ally or self both via distractions.

the only thing i can think of to counter this, is that he complains about single player being too difficult in relation to monster's damage vs the three types of armor. such as a witch or duelist spaming pots while fighting the spider in act 2, then a mara can just sit there swinging cleave till the room is clear then heavy strike on boss...
