PoE2 Act 3 being in party skips black chambers boss fight, leaving quest in awkward state

https://imgur.com/a/GQMXJfG Was in party with friend who had already beaten the Act 3 boss in the black chambers. When I cleared the zone on my own, the boss ended up being already dead, leaving me with the dialogue but not progressing the quest state. I will report back if this permanently gets my quest state stuck, but I expect with a dropped party that it will not (cannot check for some number of hours as I need to take care of something in personal life before able to rerun the zone). Confirmed my quest state was not permanently wedged when I came back later and made sure to create a new zone. My best guess is I inadvertently entered the same area as my friend who had been in party with me before taking the screenshot as the area had all the enemies in it and my friend had died once before completing the boss, respawning the enemies. As such, this likely isn't actually a bug and is actually me not paying enough attention when entering the area while in party.
