Failed to connect to instance

This should go away if you play on the Europe server, make it to town, then switch back to the American server once you've switched to a new area (If this is happening for a character in town, check if creating a new character can get to the same town). If not, there may be a problem with the way you connect to our servers. Which country are you playing from? And what ISP do you use?

You'll need to allow ports 32768-61000, I believe. Let me know if this doesn't help!

You have to allow the whole range, but only for outgoing connections.

You shouldn't have to do any port forwarding at all - the client just needs to be allowed to connect out on those ports (port forwarding is usually done to allow incoming connections).

For those of you without a router, you'll need to try disabling your Windows firewall or any other firewall/anti-virus/security software you may be running.

Once you figure out which bit of software is blocking the connections, you should be able to re-enable your security software and configure it to allow the client access through it. Without knowing what software you are running I can't really be any more specific than that sorry.

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Our provider has made some adjustments to the routing on their side that should have fixed this issue as of November 10, 2015, 8:21 am NZST.

You should now be able to use the Amsterdam Gateway without disconnecting outright.

Please let us know if you continue to have this problem. Cheers!
